Returns: Workout clothes can be returned within 14 days of delivery for most items in new condition. The shipping fee must be covered by the customer unless the original products are defective.
Along with selling workout clothes from popular brands like Nike and Adidas, ASOS has its own activewear line, and it's relatively cheaper than its counterparts. This outdoor long sleeve shirt, for instance, is about half the price of competitor brands but is popular for its stylish jersey style and non-restricting, stretchy silhouette.
It may look like an ordinary T-shirt, but this athletic Opna shirt has a cult following online. According to the brand, the shirt is lightweight and sweat-wicking. You can buy the popular V-neck in XS-4X, and it comes in 15 different colors, so feel free to grab a bunch.
Below are my eight favorite brands to shop at, each geared toward a specific type of workout type or preference. You'll also find answers to some FAQs, as well as insight into how I test workout clothes, at the end of this guide.
Of course, Rhone also has pieces that don't necessarily have precious metals embedded into them but are no less effective at getting the job done. Take, for instance, the new Mako Unlined short. Available in both 7- and 9-inch lengths, this short is made of lightweight, four-way stretch fabric with plenty of pockets so you can wear them at the gym or anywhere else, too.
A few favorites of mine is its Icon II Quad-Blend Tee and the Fuse Short. The shirt features a flattering athletic cut and its blend of fabric keeps it comfortable no matter how active I am (and stays comfortable even if I'm doing a workout that makes me particularly sweaty).
VRST, a venture from Dick's Sporting Goods, is one of the newest athletic apparel brands on the market, offering a versatile lineup of comfortable activewear that's premium yet cost-effective.
Pros: Wide selection of quality gear that doesn't have a high-end sticker price, the line features both athletic apparel and active commuter gear, features hallmarks like stretch fabric, moisture-wicking technology, and anti-odor treatment
I also found the shorts to be quite versatile and I was able to use them for HIIT workouts, runs, bike rides, and weight lifting sessions, and they stayed comfortable through it all. The four-way stretch design complemented whatever movement I was doing and its internal compression liner provided plenty of support where I needed it.
VRST's best feature is its price point, though. For prices consistently lower than what you'd find elsewhere, it's an excellent budget pick that doesn't sacrifice performance or quality. It may not stand toe-to-toe with more premium brands in terms of advanced technical features or style variety, but if it's quality workout gear you need at a reasonable price, VRST is it.
In particular, we loved the Trail Short, the lightest weight all-purpose pair of shorts from Vuori. The shorts have an elastic waist, supportive Coolmax anti-odor liner, and an athletic fit. The shorts also come with front pockets and a back zip pocket, as well as an iPhone holder in the liner.
As someone who keeps active every day, and who tries to do something different as often as possible, I was excited to try the gear from NoBull. I'd seen ads on Instagram for the brand for some time but had chalked it up to just that: a social media-promoted athletic brand that was just like any of the others.
Each of the pieces of workout clothing highlighted in this guide went through a series of tests to see how well it performed across these four categories: Fit, function, durability, and value. Here's how each category specifically factored into which athletic wear ultimately made this guide:
Durability: Premium workout clothing (i.e. the gear that's actually worth your money) should last longer than a few months of heavy use and heavy cleaning. This means it should keep its fit and still offer whatever suite of extra features long after you purchase it and wear it for the first time. This category is best served as a long-term assessment, and we've included updated insight on some pieces where we're able.
Russell Athletic takes pride in its sports heritage and versatility. Since 1902, our athletic apparel was designed to keep comfort, authenticity, and utility top-of-mind - from crew neck sweatshirts to men's underwear. While our activewear and sports-inspired items are made to move, we know workout clothes take you further than the gym. That's why we strive to make our athletic clothing that fits the everyday hustle; so you can wear #RAYourWay. Shop a few of our favorite collections, Heritage, Cotton Classics, or Men's Fleece.
When shopping cheap workout clothes, you want to find the best quality at the lowest price possible. Saving $10-20 upfront on poorly made garments will only cost you more in the long run, and it can seriously put a damper on your workout. These brands and stores are generally more affordable than the name-brand workout lines, without sacrificing in quality. To save even more, try to find them during a sale or on the clearance rack.
While some brands seem like they are just hungry for cash, many high-quality athletic clothing items are made from expensive material that is made to last through hundreds of sweat sessions and laundry washes. Top companies invest a lot of money into the technology behind their clothing and testing their items to endure extreme conditions.Yes, you can technically work out in any t-shirt and cotton sweats and save a lot of money. However, there is a good chance that you will feel gross throughout your workout and less likely to stick with your routine.High-quality workout gear like spandex, lycra, polyester, or nylon can keep your body drier and cooler than regular clothing. Plus, the compression factor that many pieces offer make working out more comfortable, especially in cases where you just had a baby or are recovering from an injury and the abdominal muscles are not as strong as they used to be.Always get the best deals on clothing and other items by setting a Deal Alert.
Sure, maybe it's obvious why you had to replace your $2 Old Navy flip-flops after the summer season. But what may surprise you is how long-lasting their wide variety of workout clothes are, and the large range of sizes offered. From StretchTech running shorts, you can score their affordable activewear both online and in-store.
A full-blown all-in-one shopping experience, Aerie is known to have everything from underwear and bras to dresses and pants. What you may not know the brand has, however, is quality (and cheap!) workout clothes, too. The best part Each piece is super stylish.
Just because Amazon has an array of other brands that it sells through its online warehouse, doesn't mean it can't have its own line, too. Although the brand sells everything from baby clothes to outerwear, women who are on the hunt for good activewear shouldn't skip past the in-house brand when searching the site.
Clothing meticulously designed for men with a \"V\" shape body type. With more room in the upper body and a slim waist, we cater to those looking for a tailored fit. If your belly is bigger than your chest, our clothes might not be for you.
Never sacrifice fit for comfort again. All of our clothes are stretchy, moisture wicking, lightweight, and infused with anti-odor treatment. We stole all the properties of your favorite workout clothes and made sharp, professional looking menswear.
Brands like Under Armour, Nike and Reebok would have us believe that well-fitting and sweat-wicking workout clothes should cost just as much as the clothes that you would wear to the office or a party.
The best maternity workout clothes are those that can easily transition outside that workout sesh. This tank from PinkBlush does just that, with a scoop-neck and attractive ruching along the sides. Available in three colors.
If you want to inject some color into your maternity workout clothes, look no further than this versatile tank that comes in four colors. The sporty racerback silhouette is right on-trend and the fabric is super-soft. Wear it alone for hot and sweaty workouts or use it as a base layer in the winter months. The best bit Beyond Yoga is a Best of Pregnancy award winner, so you know that high quality is guaranteed!
Searching for plus-size maternity workout clothes Motherhood Maternity has a few great options. This T-shirt comes in tons of colors, has a flattering scoop neck and ruching at the sides. Available in sizes 1X to 3X.
On the hunt for maternity athletic shorts These breathable shorts have stretchy, moisture-wicking tech fabric, to thoughtfully move with you during yoga, your run or any activity in between. Plus, the wide elastic waistband sits just below the belly for added comfort.
As someone who's been trying and buying workout clothes for a long time (coming up on 10 years since I started working out consistently), I have a pretty good idea about which brands are worth looking at and which ones aren't. Here, I detail the brands that have become my go-tos over the last decade and exactly which types of apparel they're good for.
Senita Athletics is a newer workout clothes brand. In fact, I just found out about Senita Athletics a couple of months ago, but I've been blown away by every piece of clothing I've ordered. The digital-only storefront stocks leggings, sports bras, shorts, T-shirts, tank tops, crop tops and swimwear for women.
Old Navy is known for its inexpensive but decent quality everyday wear. The retailer's activewear selection upholds those same values. I love Old Navy for basic clothes that I may or may not wear as actual workout clothes.
Champion, a long-standing brand that has partnered with various retailers on apparel lines (like the phased-out Target C9 I mentioned earlier), also has its own native line of clothes and is a great brand to shop for base layers and basics. 59ce067264
