Why Possessing the Land?
For 27 years, Heart for the World Church has been a beacon of hope, witnessing God transform lives, thousands saved, marriages restored, addictions broken, and the sick healed. But we believe this is just the beginning! Countless souls in our communities are yearning to experience the love and mercy of Jesus.
Our church building is at capacity and while it’s easy to celebrate our achievements, we must heed the call of Luke 12:48: “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded.” We have been blessed abundantly, and now it’s time to give back even more. We cannot afford to be complacent; our obedience is vital for reaching those still in need.
This is why we are launching the “Possessing the Land” campaign. Just as God promised the Israelites a land to possess, He is urging us to claim new territory for His Kingdom. Inspired by the faith of heroes like Joshua and Caleb, we must act boldly and take possession of what God has in store for us. He is calling us to stretch our faith and prepare a legacy for future generations. To realize this vision, we aim to raise $1.9 million over the next three years.
Accelerating the Harvest of Souls
In 2023, our church was called to "accelerate the harvest" in response to increasing attacks on Christianity. With the enemy promoting ungodly values, we are reminded from Matthew 9 to have compassion and recognize that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Our pastor encourages us to act swiftly, emphasizing that "whoever gets to the harvest first wins." We must focus on reaching our communities and loved ones with the hope and love of Jesus, transforming lives and overcoming helplessness.
Reaching Our Communities and the Nations
God is directing us to implement a "campus strategy" to reach the lost locally and globally. This approach, referred to as our "Eleven Herbs and Spices," is not about starting new churches or recruiting from others, but about harvesting souls across multiple locations. Each new campus will have its own pastor and community outreach, while maintaining the same teachings and worship style through live streaming. Pastor Dale envisions launching 30 new campuses in three years, aiming to touch 300,000 lives, matching the impact of the past 50 years of ministry.
Impacting Our VIPs for Jesus: Children and Youth
Our children and youth are VIPs at Heart for the World and essential for the future of God's Kingdom. We feel called to double and enhance our ministry to them. As more young people come to HFTW, we need additional space for youth activities and a safe outdoor area for children. Safety is our priority, and we must improve our outdoor spaces for protection and learning. We invite everyone to visit the children’s wing to see the valuable work being done, despite current space limitations.
Dale's Heart
Senior Pastor
I can’t tell you how excited I am to get to lead us on this fresh new journey we are calling Heart for the World 2.0. What a joy and privilege to since the Lord saying, “the very best and brightest days for HFTW are right before us. I love that and I love that we get to do this together. I feel that this is the key! It’s not something that could ever be accomplished by the few, but if together we unite, believe, and sacrifice we will all get to be part of something we and future generations will celebrate forever.
Rick Warren says, “a snowflake is a very fragile thing, but if enough of them stick together they can stop traffic.” I feel very much like a little flake, but O the joy and power I feel when others like you unite with me and the leadership team. Together we are unstoppable.
The three big words that I want to challenge us all with in the campaign we are about to step into are “grow,” “give,” and “go.” There is no question in my mind that the greatest thing God is going to do in this campaign will happen inside of us. As we stretch our faith, extend our love, dare to be generous and focused on blessing our city like never before we individually and as a church will be transformed. I believe that beyond the church miracles we are going to begin to see personal miracles in our families and our walk with God. When you get out of the boat you always end up walking on the water.
In our giving we are going to see what I like to call and EROI. Many know what an ROI is-return on investment. We see that in the financial world. But EROI stands for and Eternal Return on Investment. What we will give will not just make things better for us and the people we serve, it will make an impact that allows thousands of people to be led to Jesus and to find their way to Heaven and eternal rewards.
Our “going” is a way of saying that what we are doing has to do with not our only our resources but our service. It will take thousands of people using their gifts and talents in fresh new ways to see the vision come to pass. We are even inviting people to prayerfully consider giving a year to go from attending our Valley campus to going to help establish one of the new campuses that will be starting.
Our History
As we step out in this journey of faith one of the encouraging things is the amazing record of God’s faithfulness and the faithfulness of so many in our congregation over the years. God has always provided. As far as I know we have never even been late on a bill. The only debt we have had is on the purchase of our building. We purchased this in 2008 for 2.1 million and have extensively remodeled it several times. We now owe just over $180,000 which we could pay off but we keep 3 months expenses (around $400,000 in savings as a reserve fund). We have been blessed to give well over 10 million dollars away to missions and the needy in our community over the years. This year in fact we have actually given away more than we have spent on ourselves, all glory to God. God has kept a promise to us that if we built His house in the nations He would always take care of our house. One of the greatest and most exciting things this year was the ability to be a conduit through which the Lord was able to provide $360,000 to fully purchase and pay off an amazing mission hub in Davao Philippines that not only host a church but programs for some 3-400 kids.
As we’ve done this God has also helped us partner to plant churches in El Paso, Los Angeles, Atlanta, the Philippines, Zambia, and Mexico. We have helped to establish and provide for over 40 different mission hubs over the years as well.
This year we were able to launch our first church campus in Sonoma Springs.
We have seen more people come to Jesus and the church grow and baptize more people than any year before.
Last year for the whole year we had 80 baptisms this year just through August we have baptized 102. Our average Sunday attendance for youth and kids went from 284 to 325 this year and adult attendance went from an average of 714 to 870. Our overall attendance grew from an average of 998 to an average of 1195.
